Halvar Trøyel Nerbø
Data Platform EngineerTrøyel is a dedicated Data Engineer and Data Platform Developer who has worked with BI for seven years, and in the last four has specialised in building datalake and lakehouse-based data platforms in the cloud. Trøyel has a passion for building data platforms using modern development processes and tools. He cares about the holistic view of the data platform and its development from infrastructure as code, automated deployment and testing, to data flow and modelling all the way through to the delivery of data products.
Trøyel quickly understands how needs and solutions work together and can conceptualise and design value-creating data and solution architectures. Trøyel has specialised in Azure and is a certified Data Engineer as well as in the architecture framework TOGAF. Currently, he enjoys working with Terraform, dbt, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and readily uses Python and PowerShell to solve challenges.
Trøyel loves meeting and discussing with other enthusiasts in the community. You can often find him at SQL Saturday, Microsoft Data Platform User Group or similar meetups either as a speaker, organiser or participant. Trøyel has previously been a consultant and held professional responsibility for Power BI, Data Engineering and Information Management at RAV and KPMG.
